RMS Queen Mary November 2010

The retired Queen doesn’t need much of an introduction. These are some of the photographs I took on my last visit.

The stairway leads to the gang way to board the ship for the tour. The entry for the hotel is further aft on the ship and a little more grand with bell hops awaiting the arrival of guests.

Boarding the Queen Mary

On the top deck looking aft, port side. You can see the dome of the cruise ship terminal, the former home of Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose giant sea plane.

The first class lounge on the upper deck. Viewable only through a glass window panel.

The Queen’s Ballroom. The staff had been breaking down and storing tables and chairs after some sort of conference and I got a chance to wander in and take pictures.

I’ll post more pictures from this trip as I get the time. Thanks for having a look. 🙂
